  • What is the cost?
    The 2024 season rates (including processing fees) are as follows: Senior Men (contact) = $395 Senior Women (contact) = $360 Student Senior = $350 Old Boys (SOBs) = $330 U18 = $260 U16 = $260 U14 =$215 U12 = $155 U10 = $145 U8 = $145 U6 = $125

  • Do you offer financial assistance?
    Yes, the Cobourg Saxons Rugby Club welcomes everyone. If you require financial assistance, please contact the Club President for more information.
  • What is your refund policy?
    When a player registers with a Rugby Club in Ontario, a portion of the dues goes to Rugby Ontario, another portion goes to Rugby Canada, and a third portion goes to the rugby Club. The Club portion, the portion the Saxons receive is used to administer the playing of rugby. This includes renting or maintaing space for preseason and in season training and playing, paying officials, as well as purchasing equipment and jerseys. At the time of registration, we are therefore drawing your attention to Ontario Rugby Union's Refund Policy. If a player registers and trains and/or plays at least once after the commencement of the season, the Saxons will only be able to refund a portion of the Saxons share of the dues paid, and not the Rugby Ontario or Rugby Canada portions. The non-refundable portions paid to Rugby Canada and Rugby Ontario vary per age category. All refunds requested are approved by committee. By registering online, you understand and agree to the terms of this policy and will abide by this policy upon registration with the Cobourg Saxons Rugby Football Club. Rugby Ontario Refund Policy: Refunds must be formally requested by the member or on behalf of a member by a parent or guardian (applicable for any member under the age of majority within their province) and forwarded to the club level, provincial level and finally processed as the national level. For a request to be granted all 3 levels must approve the refund. No refund shall be granted after a participant has partaken in 2 (two) practices (at any level of competition). No refund shall be granted after a participant has partaken in 1 (one) game (at any level of competition). Only full online refunds will be granted if approved. Rugby Canada will retain 5% of the National Dues as a refund processing fee. Provincial Unions and Clubs have the right to retain a 5% refund processing fee of Provincial Union and Club Dues.
